Summer Internship

Lone Star Ag Credit, headquartered in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking a Summer Intern to work the Fort Worth office from approximately June 3, 2019 through August 30, 2019.  This position will work with Business Intelligence/Risk to develop an understanding of supplying data needs for the organization, portfolio management/monitoring practices, and other recurring tasks.  The position will also work with Accounting on various projects.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma and enrollment at an accredited university (at the time of the internship) in at least a Bachelor's Degree Program with a field of study in Ag Business, Ag Economics, Finance, Accounting, or other degree plan that supports a career in Agricultural Finance; student should be of good academic standing (minimum 2.75 overall GPA); should be enrolled as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student at the time of the Internship, with a preference for students completing their degree studies in the fall of 2019 or spring of 2020.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Skill in oral and written communication. Basic skill level in Microsoft personal computer operating, networking systems, and Microsoft Office applications. Previous work experience in financial industry is helpful but not required. Evidence of leadership skills. Should be team oriented, cooperative and show a strong work ethic. Ability to perform basic accounting and financial analyses under moderate supervision.
