IT Systems Specialist I

Lone Star Ag Credit, headquartered in Fort Worth , Texas, is looking for an IT Systems Specialist I to perform a variety of moderately complex computer and local area network hardware and software support duties while working under moderate supervision.  This is an excellent opportunity with a growing company for a detailed professional looking for a stable position!

DUTIES:

        Assists Senior-level staff or management with the I.T. resources planning process.

Researches products and vendors to stay abreast of evolving technologies/equipment and incorporate need, functionality, cost, and efficiency into technology purchases.

Assists with the development of association standards for equipment purchases.

Manages, maintains and inventories the I.T assets of the association and researches available enhancements to the I.T. system.

Performs installation/maintenance of I.T. hardware and software resources.  Provides end user support over the phone or by traveling to branch locations.

Maintains records and databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties, service agreements, incident resolution and support procedures.

Offers support and training to association employees in the use of computer hardware and/or software. 

Assists senior-level staff or management in developing, implementing and enforcing I.T. security policy and procedures. 

Assists senior-level or management in developing and maintaining written documentation of operating procedures for internally developed software products.

Implements office installations, moves, rewires, and changes at the direction of senior management.

Assists in maintenance of the association's intranet.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience and one (1) to two (2) years of experience in acquiring, maintaining and deploying information technology systems.

General knowledge of business systems software applications.  Specialized knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, networking, and security.  Skill in oral and written communication.  Skill in problem-solving including problem identification, fact-finding, research, analysis and solution development.  Basic skill level in Microsoft personal computer operating and networking systems.  Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office applications.  Ability to communicate complex information to a non-technical audience.
