About the role:

As a Director of Financial Reporting in our Fort Worth corporate office, you will prepare financial and business-related analyses in such areas as financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital, and investments.

The big picture:

You will provide financial reporting focused on coherent presentation of information. Assignments are broad and complex in nature requiring originality, ingenuity, and leadership.

You will have appreciable latitude for decision making and work under minimum supervision, while working closely with the CFO and Controller to supervise financial reporting systems in compliance with GAAP, Association policies and procedures, and FCA regulations.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Establish and interpret the Association's financial reporting and accounting policies in accordance with GAAP, FCA regulation, reporting requirements of the Funding Corporation and the Federal Reserve, and IRS code.
  • Develop policies and procedures to enhance the accounting system's internal controls to meet all applicable regulations.
  • Prepare or oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual financial, regulatory and tax reports for senior management, the Board of Directors, external stakeholders and auditors.
  • Assist with the preparation selected financial reporting information for the Board, FCA and funding bank.
  • Provide accounting detail and information to internal and external auditors.
  • Assist the CFO with Association budgeting, performance reporting, and cost monitoring to insure efficiency.
  • Work closely with the CFO and senor management in the analysis of daily business functions, loan pricing decisions, and financial operations at all Association offices.
  • Assist with the selection of staff, providing training and instruction, conducting performance evaluations, oversee staff to ensure accountability for their areas of responsibility, approval of personnel actions and salaries, delegate authority to staff and determine training needs.

Your qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business, and five (5) to seven (7) years of professional experience in financial analysis and/or financial reporting. CPA certification preferred.

General knowledge of accounting/financial systems. Specialized knowledge of accounting/finance principles.
