Applications Analyst

Lone Star Ag Credit, headquartered in Fort Worth, TX, is looking for an Applications Analyst for our Fort Worth corporate office. This position is responsible for deploying line of business and software systems for the Association. Assignments are complex in nature requiring originality, ingenuity, and leadership; has appreciable latitude for decision making; works under minimum supervision.

At the discretion of Lone Star Ag Credit, position may be offered at alternate titles and other business experience may be considered relevant.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience plus five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in acquiring, maintaining, and deploying information technology systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assists management in the planning process by determining line of business resource need and alternatives.
• Researches products and vendors to stay abreast of evolving technologies and incorporate need, functionality, cost, and efficiency into technology purchases.
• Develops association standards for software/applications purchases to complement district network needs and establish cost-effective replacement practices for periodic replacement of software.
• Researches available enhancements to the I.T. system that will promote operational and cost efficiencies in delivering credit and related services of the association.
• Leads and coordinates the installation/maintenance software resources, as well as providing end user support.
• Maintains records and databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties and service agreements.
• Offers support and training to association employees in the use of line of business and/or software. Acts as a liaison between association employees and FCBT or other providers of I.T. training or services.
• Assists management in developing and maintaining written documentation of operating procedures for internally developed software products.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

General knowledge of business systems software applications. Specialized knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, networking, and security. Skill in oral and written communication. Skill in problem-solving including problem identification, fact-finding, research, analysis and solution development. Intermediate skill level in Microsoft personal computer operating and networking systems. Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to communicate complex information to a non-technical audience.
